FOTCO Board gives go ahead for the construction of new Jetty (QP-2) at its existing Terminal on fast track basis. Integrated LNG Terminal with re-gasification and Storage proposal is under active consideration. Fuel Oil Blending and Storage facilities being explored. Highest Annual throughput of 9.9 million tons in 2009-2010 Highest number of 18 ships handled in a month, during May 2010 Berthing of 1500th ship at FOTCO on April 23rd 2010 Terminal monitoring system installed and commissioned at FOTCO in Aug 2009
The Terminal comprises an all weather jetty capable of berthing ships upto 75,000 DWT, a 4km long trestle and 3 marine loading arms of 16" diameter. The trestle, which is designed to accommodate 6 product pipelines, allows vehicular access to the Terminal through a 3.5 meter wide road suitable for 12 tons axle load trucks. Presently 2 product pipelines handling Heavy Furnace Oil, Diesel and Crude Oil have been laid.

FIRE & SAFETY:
Fire protection at jetty is ensured by means of a most modern and sophisticated Automatic Fire Sensing/Extinguishing System comprising of ultra violet and infrared sensors, smoke detectors, fire pumps 2x 3500 GPM, foam concentrates storage/proportioning skid and pump set, water/foam monitors, deluge water curtains, hose-reels and portable fire extinguishers. Depending on the type of fire this equipment can be jointly or individually operated.
